I was pleasantly surprised to hear the representative say that the company would replace the unit for about half the retail cost; all I had to do was send them a check/money order and the cut-off plug from my "defective" unit. We had had no problems whatsoever with our Brewstation previously. As it was past the end of the warranty, I called the company on a "hunch" to see if they had received other complaints about this problem and had a suggested solution. I purchased one of these from Amazon.com in December 2007. So thanks to Hamilton Beach for their great customer service - even AFTER the warranty expires. I wanted to comment on the company's excellent customer service. I won't expound on all the features we like - other reviewers have more than adequately described why this is one of the best on the market. Just the other day, the clock on our HB Brewstation Plus 47686 went wacky - it started running about 15 minutes fast per hour - making it impossible to use the program function.
Have had no problems with it. I was skeptical because of past experiences with it, but ghis one works really well.
We really like this product. The coffee is so good my friend comes from SC to get some coffee. This is the second Hamilton Beach Brewstation we have had. I have RA and it is the best coffee pot cause you don't have to pick up the heavy glass pot of the other machines.
Thechrome finish makes it look more expensive than my older model. This is my second brewstation and I'm completely satisfied. I woulddefinitely recommend this model. I read allthe reviews before buying this model so I knew what I was getting. I love thehigher spout that makes it easier to fill taller mugs.I haven't had anyleaks yet. My older model leaked just a little but was no big deal.
No carafe to break. This is the second brew station I have had. Does all it says it will do. Makes perfect coffee. I bought one years ago when they first came on the market. I love it.
